How a live video tour works
- Your advisor schedules a time with the community and with you.
- On the day, they call you on FaceTime, Zoom, Google Meet, or WhatsApp, whichever you use.
- They walk the community with the camera: the apartment, dining room, common areas, outdoor space, and the memory care neighborhood if there is one.
- You ask questions as you go. Your advisor asks the ones you might not think of.
- Afterward, you get a short written recap.
What to ask them to show you
- The actual apartment available, not just the model
- A meal being served
- The activity calendar, and an activity happening
- The generator and emergency plan
- Bathrooms: grab bars, shower access
Respecting residents
Your advisor will follow each community's rules about filming and avoid showing residents' faces.
Then visit in person
Most families still visit their top choice in person before signing. Video lets you get there with a shortlist of one or two. Helping from out of state.
